Jon is going to have a minor surgery on Friday. The Registrar at KK diagnose it as Hydrocele while the Specialist at Gleneagles diagnose it as a Hernia. Hydrocele is the accumulation of fluids around a testicle while in Hernia, the hole is big enough that tissues and intestines can slipped into the scotum and causes the swell there. I have noticed before that they were slighly uneven in size but never have I thought that this is so serious that surgery is necessary. I even thought this is usual. I am now surprised that his PD has never noticed or even mention about it. I am quited pissed with that PD really....I should have gone to the same PD that Jayden used to go. Why does a trainee at KK can spot something unusal, while a private PD and a very experienced one at a private clinic cannot ??
Luckily, it is not a big surgery. Half an hour is all it takes. But he is going to need anesticia. This scares me off. He is only 2.5 years old plus him being a G6PD Deficient, there is going to be some pain relief medicine that he cannot take. I hope everything goes well and is going to be as simple and easy for the child as what I have read from the internet so far.

Jay is diaperless
Jay has been diaperless during the day since last year. Today, I can officially declare him as totally diaperless , ie. includuding the night after testing him for a week. In fact, I tried to put him on diaper after he fall asleep. But he will wake up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet and get really angry when he discover he is on diaper. Haha...Good job darling.
Jonas refusing to go 'po po' house
Jon will be 27 months next week. He is already very aware of what is going on to the surroundings. This morning when my hubby tries to carry him, he know he is due to go to 'po po' house. He pouted his lips and start to cry. It really break my heart. At 'po po' house when we return in the evening after work sometimes, he will keep saying go home".
I sometimes disturb him "do you want to go po po house?"
"Don't want"
"Do you want to go tai gong house?"
"Don't want"
"Do you want to go home?"
"YES!"
It makes me happy that he knows we are the parents and that he actually want to go home. But it always never fail to make me sad as this is still not the time for him to really come home with us on a daily basis. I hope he can understand and that I am already making plans. Jon will join Jay at the childcare in October and I am going to be super super busy then.

Saturday at home
We stayed in today as both boys were down with flu early this week and they were just getting better. I do not want to get them infected again or vice versa. Today, I suddenly realised that my boys have grown up, in the sense that I can leave them by themselves and they can play or do colouring work without disturbing me too much. I even have time for the Internet. In the past, I always have to watch over them and have no time for myself until after 10pm when they fall asleep.
I am so caught up with doing 'my things' that Jay came by with some books in his hand and said "Mummy, can you read me 5 books?"
"So many!" I tried to brush him off without even taking my eyes from the PC.
"It's not one thou..sand books. Only 5 books"
uh oh....I feel so guilty

Year 2009
It has only been 3 months into year 2009 and a string of unpleasant things are already happening all around me. My grandma got a minor stroke and was hospitalised for about 2 weeks. She has been discharged and is undergoing therapy treatment now. I hope she will be able to start walking soon. She is a strong woman even at 85 and I am sure she will be well soon.
One of my uncles (my mum's brother) passed away. He had kidney failure for many years and 1 day just fainted and never get up. There was a bump on his head and it was believed that is the cause of the death.
Another of my uncle (my dad's bil) had a heart bypass done last week. It is going to take him quite a while to recover as he is also suffering from kidney failure.
My boss had a heart bypass done early this month. He is young and with no other complications, so he is doing well. He is even replying emails now , when he really should be resting haha.....
I just heard yesterday that one of my customers has breast cancer and had already resigned under the advise of the doctor.
2 of my fellow colleagues got retrenched.
The takeaway for me from all these episodes is to treasure all close families and friends and try to spend as much time as possible with them, especially our parents. We really cannot anticipate what is going to happen tomorrow. And why are there so many people having heart problems right now, I believe the food that we intake and the amount of stress that we are experiencing contribute a big part to it. How to not be stress in this society ? Hai....
